Well alot of April fools happening tonight having attracted a few Thorn's one has really got me confused, bigger and darker than other Early Thorn's I trapped, maybe its just a variation!
As for Diurnea fagella, I just don't have enough experince with this Moth as tonight proved, I fell into the (ID help) trap again with some very variable examples.
Lots of Moths to the sheet tonight from 8-10pm with 45 Moths of an impressive 12 species,
Two very pretty Water Carpet making a new Site record tonight.
