Pupae Case
Green Oak Tortrix Tortrix viridana
I collected two rolled up Oak leaves about 3 weeks ago now, I knew something was inside because the next day I checked the pot and there were distinct caterpillar pellets all around the pot and a few days later a pupa case was noticed peeking through each rolled leaf.
Faboulous I thought but I was still none of the wiser what spcies it was.
Yesterday though all was revealed as two Green Oak Tortrix (Tortrix viridana) emerged, really chuffed and a new species, just for getting off my backside and finding a few leaves.
