Beautiful Golden-Y
Dipleurina lacustrata
Dark Spectacle
Peppered Moth
Cnephasia sp.
Best Moth of the night a Beautiful Golden-Y a new one for me, what a stunning looking Moth!
Other highlights were 7! Privet Hawk-moths new for garden Dipleurina lacustrata and a new for year Dark Spectacle, backed up by roughly 35 species of other Moths.
Conditions were calm and mild, but again towards dawn it became breezy and cooler, tonight though has been blisteringly hot with temperatures soaring to 25c
Tonight I hope to get out in the field to Thorndon Park with some other Mothy folk! look forward to it.
