Hello all.
I have been a
bit lazy this last week and haven't posted my recent catches from Wednesday
night and Friday night, and boy were they pleasing catches indeed.
The weather has
been dire lately with heavy rain during the day and night but still pretty warm
with daytime temperatures up to 23 degrees and lows of 14, the moths didn't
seem to mind the rain deluge that we've had.
We even seemed
to escape all of these dreadful electrical storms that other people around the
Country have been experiencing.
There were 9 new
species from Wednesday night and 16! new species found on Friday night.
Good species
included Satin Beauty and Strophedra sp, which will be dissected. Gothic
was a new addition to my garden list.
It was also
great to see Lobster Moth again after a
two year absense.
This will be my
last post for a week as I jet off for a mothing adventure to Southern France. I
may have time to post some of my catches from there as the week progresses,
really looking forward to it and I have a target of seeing 300 species in 5
nights.
