On Thursday
night and last night I ran the trap for a right old mix of moths, unfortunately
numbers are still pretty poor here but new species keep the interest and the
list increasing.
On Thursday I
had 17 moths of 11 species which is pretty good going here, but last night was
considerably lower with just 6 moths of 6 species.
And just this
afternoon i've added Anthophila fabriciana to the year list, making it 5 new
for years over 2 days, hardly disappointing.
Best moth over
the last few days was a pristine Brindled Beauty from this morning, having not
seen one in 11 years, I now get two in 2017 and both from the garden! I just
love the sporadic ways of mothing at times.
