Last Tuesday the trap was on once again, with highs of 25 degrees and lows of 14, it was another bumper night with plenty of species present, although numbers are never huge here due to lack of trees in the local vicinity.
But for variety, I can't fault what I have been seeing recently.
The two best moths were a vivid Rosy Footman and the uncommon Mugwort Plume (Hellinsia lienigianus).
A worn Paraswammerdamia nebulella was new for the garden and the 725th species for the garden.
A Coleophora and Stigmella were retained for dissection.
