Windy and cool

A bit rubbish the weather at the moment. I chanced my arm and stuck the trap out until bedtime last night, just two moths were attracted to it, abysmal to say the least, but you sometimes have to look at the bigger picture, it was breezy, below 7 degrees, clear sky and a bright full moon, so yeah it's not going to be great even in the height of summer, let alone March!

 

Luckily there was a third moth, as I was just doing my last garden rounds, scouring the walls and fences, I turned around and my torch cast a beam of light on to a moth in the grass, halfway down the garden! It was to be a bonus Red-green Carpet and species number 44 for the year.
