A vast improvement once more

Around 70 species of a 100 or so moths were seen on Sunday night. No time to fully count everything as it's just too tiring, what with a manual labour job the next day!

20 moths were new for the year list, an incredible number.

And there were some real treats in the list such as Ruddy Carpet, Marbled Clover and the stunning Swallow-tailed Moth.
Top micros included Ethmia quadrillella & Coleophora albitarsella.

It's been very challenging potting up the moths during this warm spell, then the photographing can be an absolute nightmare with the heat, coupled with the bad light (my camera hates bright sunny conditions).

Still a few more good nights to come, another late night and early rise coming up! zzzz
